I always got Sync Timeout on child sites with BackWPup Free plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/backwpup/ enabled.
Different child sites, different IP addresses, some on PHP 5.6, some on PHP 7. When this plugin is disabled, syncing runs OK.
Could anyone confirm and then fix?

Hi, I use this for my other sites, but I received the following error when I tested a brand new job for backwpup
The HTTP response test get an error "Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with known CA certificates"Missing or not expected HTTP response headers:
no headers show
I am having issues with switching hosts right now, so I'm unable to reset up my https certificate. I think perhaps this is why I'm getting this error. However, is there a way to force a backup. I just want me files backed up with out having to a manual backup.
I tried using an older version of backwpup and no luck. Please help!

I took backup before few days using { BackWPup Free }
File extension tar.gz
I tried so much to restore it but unfortunately nothing work out .
I tried with other plugins even the plugin which i used it for backup ,, its nothing !.
Updraftplus ,, refused the file because its not made by the same plugging ,, otherwise i have to buy a premium edition ...thats not easy .
I hope if any one can help me to restore my website because really i need it so much .. i'm looking for automatic restore or so . { Free } if that is possible

I updated to this version about a month ago since my backups weren't running('Unable to create folder.......)
I just noticed my website has been reconfigured (image doesn't show in the header or throughout the page). Could this be a result of the plugin update? I have WP version 4.3.3.
Oh.....and my site was moved to HostGator last year in August (which is when the last backup apparently ran!) Perms are set to 755 though.

All of my wordpress installs use backwpup. All of them are failing and returning this error daily. The upload to dropbox keeps timing out. I changed the Maximum script execution time in the backwpup settings to 300 seconds. After several attempts to upload, the final error is "ERROR: Job has ended with errors in 2805 seconds. You must resolve the errors for correct execution." This is happening on at least 3 installs of backwpup.
Suddenly for some days I get this error on all of the sites I run on the server:

Cannot backup anywhere

I've configured two backup jobs. One witch runs weekly to a folder on my webhosting and the second witch runs monthly to a ftp-server.
Regarding the log, both jobs runs without any failure.
But in the "Backup" tab there are only weekly backups showing. No possibility to switch to the monthly backups on my FTP.
Checking the ftp-server, there are all monthly backups correctly saved.
Starting a monthly backup manually bring back the possibility to switch between the different backup-locations in the "Backup" tab for a limited time.
I've been successfully creating TAR backups (about 12 GB), but after switching to ZIP the backups fail all the time. A backup file is uploaded to S3 with a size of 4.01 GB. I suspect the reason is that BackWPup doesn't split the archive to compensate for the 4 GB ZIP limit and it doesn't use ZIP64 either.

Is it bad?
Notes:
- Only happened once, since the last update of BackWPup.
- The size of the database backup and the files backup is matching the previous backups.
- The table wp_relevanssi has 100,464 records, 3.6 MiB data usage, 4.9 MiB index usage, 0 bytes overhead. There are 2 tables bigger than this one (my translation plugin) that generate no errors.

I am desperate !
I use BackWPup to backup multiple sites and it no longer works. I have no backups for two days.
All sites are independent. Specific shared hosting for each domain name. SSL certificates GlobalSign-AlphaSSL provided by my host (OVH in France).
Qualys SSL Labs tests are OK. Overall Rating : A. Protocols TLS 1.0, 1.1 et 1.2 : Yes. Protocols SSL 2 et 3 : No (SSL 3 is dead, killed by the POODLE attack).
I use WordPress 4.4.2. I tried with BackWPup 3.2.3, 3.2.4, 3.2.5 and 3.3. Still the same error.
I disabled all my other plugins and I replaced my theme with Twenty Sixteen. Still the same error.
I did a clean install of WordPress on a new database. Still the same error.
I tried this plugin http://marketpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/backwpup-disable-ssl-verify.zip. Still the same error.

And these updates are made because of changes introduced by PayPal.
I do not know what to do. Change backup plugin? It would be a shame.

Hi there.
I've installed this plug in, yet when I try to run the job, I get a message that says: Not Expected HTTP Response.
It includes grey highlighted information below that error message like:
Status-Code 429
Content-type text/html; charset=utf-8
Retry-after 5
Content-length 1281
etc....
Can you advise what this error means, and what I need to do to remedy it so I can back up my site?
I have chosen to back it up in a folder on my laptop.

It's a useful plugin and i've used it for a long time. Anyone knows why it is deleted?
I've been using define( 'UPLOADS', '' . 'site-content' ); in my wp_config.php file for some time. With the 4.5 and 4.5.1 updates, things no longer work if BackWPup 3.3 is active:
Thumbnails produced for images automatically look for the image file in wp-content/uploads/[year]/[month]/[filename] rather than site-content/[year]/[month]/[filename] as they did before. That is true both for new uploads and files uploaded before the update.
Within the Media Library, the Attachment Details page looks for the image in wp-content/uploads//home3/[username]/public_html/site-content/[year]/[month]/[filename]. That is true only for new uploads. Files uploaded prior to the update still work in these pages fine.
Deactivating BackWPup 3.3 fixed this issue.
Anyone know what ever happened to the free version of BackWPup? I have a couple of sites that use it and if they don't offer it anymore I'll have to switch incase they don't keep it updated with new versions of WP. This site goes nowhere - https://wordpress.org/plugins/backwpup/

I'm using BackWPup to backup my wordpress page and I have a whole membership site set up with the plugin called "Wishlist"- does anybody know if BackWPup backups the wishlist membership site I've set up too?
I'm just wondering because my backup file isn't that big (about 200MB) and I really want the membership site backed up too.

When adding a new job to BackWPup and authenticating to Dropbox it seems that the authentication link isn't working properly.
Is this the wrong link or a problem with Dropbox?
